Make money for Tudor House just by searching the Web

I’ve started using a great new search engine that raises money for charity, every time you search the web.
I'm supporting WHAT, the charity that keeps Tudor House in Friar Street open.
It doesn't cost you a penny, and you can support any UK charity you like.

Anything Goes at Tudor House

This should be a short low quality video of John and Judy entertaining First World War Troops (whether they like it or not) at Tudor House.

Eggcorns

From little eggcorns... http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-egg3.htm is the link for World Wide Words - Michael Quinion writes on International English from a British viewpoint. The link points to a wonderful piece on Eggcorns - they are a sort of error in writing that comes from a phrase sounding the same as a correct one, but using different words - but still making some kind of sense. The phrase starting this piece should be From little acorns (great oaks do grow, I think). That's how eggcorns got their name. Tow the line, Bowl in a china shop, Giving up the Ghost, Chickens coming home to roast are a few more.

The Eggcorn Database is the official repository. It had 570 eggcorns when I last looked (thirty seconds ago, actually). Just desserts, Here Here! Whole-scale changes are all covered, together with Exuberant Prices, Above Approach, to name a view!

SandSpeedWales

This is nothing to do with Worcester, but Pendine in South Wales, where the Land Speed Records were broken. It's just that some of the early cars owned by Count Louis Zbrowski were called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Couldn't resist it!
SandSpeedWales: "when Count Louis Zborowski wanted a follow up to his aero-engined original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang he called Foresti to use an Itala chassis & 250hp Hall Scott aero-engine,"
The picture above is a diecast model of the film version, available at £34.99 from MiniModelCars
